upcycle in the community
community outreach events
|
UpCycle loves connecting with our community through events that help us share our mission of creative reuse. Each year, we allocate funds to provide free creative reuse programming at a limited number of mission-aligned outreach events as part of our commitment to meaningful community engagement.
UpCycle prioritizes events that help us introduce more people to creative reuse, offer welcoming opportunities for hands-on artmaking across diverse communities, and strengthen partnerships with organizations whose missions align with our commitment to sustainable living and equitable access to the arts. |
Past Community Events Include: The ALX Dog Walk The Alexandria Eco-City Festival Art on the Avenue Chirilagua Back to School Day The VT STEM Discovery Fair Alexandria Arts Alliance Party for the Arts Alexandria Diversity in Business Expo The Spooky Mad Science Expo Various ACPS School Events |
Interested in having UpCycle at Your Event?
While we are unable to provide additional no-cost event services beyond those we've planned for, we welcome requests for additional tabling and outreach opportunities on a fee-for-service basis. These fees help cover the time, materials, preparation, transportation, and staffing needed to participate in events that are not already included in our annual outreach budget.
We can tailor our programming to accommodate a wide range of audience sizes, age groups, and interests, and will provide all necessary materials, tools, and instruction.
If you are interested in having UpCycle table at your event, send an email to [email protected] with the event date, time, location, expected attendance, and what you would like UpCycle to provide. We will review the request and let you know whether we are available and what fee would apply.
Thank you for thinking of UpCycle and for supporting our work in the community.
