Family RE-Creation Classes Every day at UpCycle, we see the ability of reuse materials to inspire creators across all age groups, and we love encouraging grownups to work together with their kiddos to create art! Introducing a new series of creative reuse workshops that are designed for the whole family! Each month, we are welcoming kids and their grownups to come explore their creativity together while they make fun themed crafts. Tickets are $20/person and include all materials. This event will be capped at 16 participants. Location: UpCycle Creative Reuse Studio 5380-D Eisenhower Avenue Alexandria, Virginia 22304 Please note: If we do not meet the minimum registration of 6, the class may be canceled. Registrations are refundable ONLY if made 7 days in advance of the workshop date. |
April 6th, 2025 5-6:30pm: Paper Tube Marionettes
Join us at the UpCycle studio for another Family RE-Creation class! We'll be celebrating Earth Month by turning paper tubes into upcycled marionette puppets of our favorite creatures! Bring life to cast-off paper tubes by decorating them to resemble your favorite animal and learning how to attach them to a basic string set-up so they can hop around. At the end of the workshop, arrange our upcycled puppet theatre to match the habitat of your choice and snap a family photo with your new puppet friends!
Note: This family activity requires parental help using hot glue guns and creative tools. Children MUST be accompanied by a ticketed adult who attends the duration of the workshop.
